Teaching aim: students can report their lifestyles and know what kind of lifestyle is healthy.
Teaching aid: radio, book and pictures.
Teaching procedures:
一. Revision
Ask and answer some questions:
How often do you exercise/eat fruit/have milk/---?
How long do you sleep on weekdays/at weekend/---?
How much TV do you watch every day?
二. Presentation
Students do a questionnaire and then see if they have a healthy life.
三. Practice
1. Students listen to the tape and help Hu Wen do the questionnaire.
2. Compare who has a healthier life, you or Hu Wen?
四. Practice
1. Ask one student who has higher score than Hu Wen to report his or her lifestyle and other students answer questions about it .
2. Ask another student to report the lifestyle and another one to ask questions about it , the rest of the students answer the questions.
3. Ask a student who has lower score than Hu Wen to report his or her lifestyle and other students give her or him some advice.
4. Practise the phrases: had better do sth / had better not do sth.
五. Pair work
1. Students interview the partners with the help of some questions in the book.
2. Ask some students to report their partners’ lifestyles.
六. Activities
Ask some students to report their parents’ lifestyles and other students say if the lifestyle is healthy or not , if it is not so healthy, give some advice.
七. Homework
Finish the exercises on Page 65.
